I will march with the Fight for $15 in Richmond, VA

A letter from Reverend Dr. William J. Barber II

I was there last week.

On stage at the Democratic National Convention, I called for a moral agenda and for all of us to do our part to expand and revive the Heart of America.

The moral vision of our Constitution calls on us to push this moment even further – we must shock this nation with the power of love, mercy, and justice for all.

We will not stop marching, stop striking, stop joining together until we win $15 an hour and union rights for all our sisters and brothers across the nation.

That is the radical message of love. Every person – no matter their faith, background, gender or sexual orientation – deserves to be able to feed their families and pay their rent. The power of love is the power of the Fight for $15.

And so, we must continue to march, to organize, to shock the heart of the nation. It is our moral duty to revive our democracy and, as the Prophet Isaiah said, become “Repairers of the Breach.”

On August 13, I will march with the Fight for $15 in Richmond, VA. Stand with us. Share this image right now and show your support for the movement:

Some issues are not left versus right, but right versus wrong. We need to embrace our deepest values and push for a revolution of the heart of our democracy.

Share this now – stand with me and thousands as we declare once and for all: “The time is now!”

We can’t give up on the heart of our democracy. Not now. Not ever.

Thanks for standing strong.
