Fight for $15 to knock thousands of doors to turn out Black and brown voters in 2020

The Fight for $15 is joining a massive effort in Michigan and Wisconsin this year to help turn out Black and brown voters and win the 2020 presidential election.

Over the past year, Fight for $15 strikes have become “required campaign stops” for presidential candidates, and every major Democratic candidate has backed $15/hr and Unions for All. Now, we’re getting ready to knock hundreds of thousands of doors across Michigan and Wisconsin to win the 2020 election.

Getting out the vote is more important than ever as Republicans try to disenfranchise voters, who are disproportionately Black and brown, in key states including Wisconsin. They’re silencing our voices so that corporations like McDonald’s continue to make billions while we struggle to get by. They want to divide us.

But we will make sure working people — whether white, Black, or brown — are not ignored. We will decide the 2020 election, so we will be talking to voters about why they need to get out and vote in 2020 to elect a president who will stand with the majority of Americans to raise wages, protect workplaces from sexual harassment, and ensure the right of every worker to join a union.
