“Together, we will win” — Elected officials and workers in PA stand strong for unions

At a round table in Pittston, PA on Saturday, elected leaders, union & non-union workers, faith & community leaders all declared that America Needs Unions — for ALL workers.

Richard Mondesire, a worker and union member kicked things off, telling the room that being a union members is already the best thing that could have happened to my coworkers and me.

 

 

Sharon, a nurse and member of SEIU Healthcare PA talked about winning safer staffing for fellow nurses. She’ll vote for the first time in November, and union rights will be top of mind!

 

 

 

Representative Matt Cartwright shared a message of solidarity — “We have to stick together. This is the time to be speaking about solidarity.”

 

 

Representatives Maureen Madden and Eddie Day Pashinski echoed the calls for unity. “If they’re coming after this union, they’re coming after that union, they’re coming after all of us.”
