Workers Strike After 12 Years Without a Raise to the Federal Minimum Wage

Workers across the country went on strike today to mark the 12th anniversary of the last time that the federal minimum wage was raised.

The COVID crisis is not over. Workers have been on the frontlines of this pandemic for over a year, risking our lives to keep our communities fed and safe.

$7.25 wasn’t enough in 2009, and 12 years later, it’s nowhere close to what we need to live a life of dignity.
