DNC platform commits to $15/hr and stronger unions

In accepting the nomination for President, former Vice President Joe Biden committed to fight for $15/hr and stronger unions if he and Vice Presidential nominee Kamala Harris are elected.

His vision included a nation with “newly empowered labor unions…rising wages you can raise a family on. Yes, we’re going to do more than praise our essential workers. We’re finally going to pay them.”

We wouldn’t have gotten here without the work of our movement. Our fight for dignity and respect on the job over the past seven years has turned what used to sound radical – a living wage – into something supported by two-thirds of the country.

This shows the power we have when we fight together. Now is the time to vote together.
